Complaints and content removal

If content here is unlawful, tell us and a person will assess it within 7 days.

Which one is it?

You disagree with a review

A negative review is not unlawful because it is negative. Streamers: claim your profile and reply. A good reply persuades readers. A removed review does not.

It breaks the guidelines

Off-topic, personal, spam. Flag it on the review itself and a moderator reads it. Faster than this form. See the guidelines.

It is unlawful

Defamatory, private information, harassment, copyright. That is what the form below is for.

What happens after you submit

  1. Straight away

An acknowledgement by email with a reference number.

  2. Top of the queue

A 7-day countdown starts. For defamation we usually hide the content while assessing.

  3. A person decides

Remove, restore, or dismiss. You get the outcome by email.

  4. The author is told

Only that their review was hidden or removed, and the category of the grounds. Never who complained.

This follows the process for digital intermediaries under Australia’s Model Defamation Provisions: reasonable access-prevention steps within 7 days of a complaint.

Grounds

Defamatory
A false statement of fact that damages a reputation. Our first step is usually to hide it while we assess.
Private information
Real names not used publicly, addresses, workplaces, family, medical or financial details.
Harassment
Threats, slurs, sexual harassment, or organising others to target someone.
Copyright
Say what the work is and your rights in it, and confirm a good-faith belief the use is not authorised.
Privacy request
To see, correct or delete your own data, use the same form and say it is a privacy request.

File a complaint

No account needed. Five fields: the review’s address, your name and email, your relationship to the content, and why it is unlawful. We use your details only to assess the complaint and write back to you.

Why the content is unlawful

Knowingly making a false complaint to have lawful criticism removed may itself have legal consequences.
